Health Insurance Marketplace Statement 1095-A is incorrect for 20% of people

TO FIND OUT IF YOU WERE AFFECTED
Step 1. Log into your account at www.HealthCare.gov
Step 2. Select your 2014 application
Step 3. Select “Tax Forms”
Step 4. You will see a message stating
if your form was affected or not

Step 5. The corrected form will also be
available here once completed

You will also get a call or email shortly from Healthcare.gov if you are affected

The error is with Part III, Column B: Monthly Premium Amount of Second Lowest Cost Silver Plan – incorrect amounts are entered here.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE AFFECTED BY THIS

If you already filed your taxes,
DO NOTHING – The Treasury Dept will provide additional info soon.

WAIT to file until you receive a corrected 1095-A from the Marketplace.

If you cannot wait, you can look up the correct premium for your second lowest cost silver plan (SLCSP) here: www.healthcare.gov/taxes/tools/silver
